It's been awhile since I wrote anything, and i can't seem to figure out why. I haven't stopped reading but now i feel like knowing I'm going to write about the books I read takes the fun out of reading. I know writing reviews is good for the authors and it gets books out there. There was a good week where I think I finished one book. It was strange. I just finished one today that I felt maybe it was time to write about it, even though it will be a small review. No one reads these, so mostly it's just me rambling to my self. I could say whatever I wanted and no one would know the difference. woah.

This book I read is called Flirting with 40. It's your typical romance novel, but I seem to like this one a lot for the fact there isn't a lot of crazy sex and its like more realistic.

Blakely just got out of marriage that was shit and happened to be in a bar and some super sexy dude starts talking to her.

Slade is 31 and Blakely is 39. honestly it's not a huge age gap but i can see from her point of view just how crazy it would seem to have some younger guy but interested in her.

He ends up coming with her on his work retreat and they fake the whole relationship even though we all know there's something more.

Honestly I don't plan to write about the whole book, but mostly on how this book is about coming out of her shell that she was when she was with her ex because of how much of a douche he was, she was always hiding. Slade made her more confident and broke her out of this rut she was in. It really is the most cutest story I've read.

Slade is also a heart surgeon. So bonus points there. I mean they have sex on this retreat but the sex scenes are graphic or really the main point because truly at almost 40 your sex drive is not the same as when you were 20. HELLO.

Anyways, they obviously end up together and its pretty damn adorable. They work so well together and even though they knew nothing about each other before this, they just clicked.

Maybe love at first site does exist.

The author is K. Bromberg

I'm also at 82 out of 200 books to read this year.
