I love mythology. This series is about the Norwegian Gods which I am kinda of a huge fan of. My husband is also Norwegian which may also help. anyways. this story is about Kristia who decides she wants to go Wales to go to collage cause her small town is boring. On her travels she keeps seeing this guy lurking in the shadows. and she's like right like what's the chances ill ever see him again even though he is hot AF. she gets to her school and finds her roommates who she happens to get along well with, I mean who doesn't love an exchange student from the US.

She's taking mythology and she's gonna learn about all the them but of course they start with the Norse Gods first. BUT WHAT guess who happens to be there, mystery guy from the other cities she was in. His name is Ull everyone knows he is this mysterious guy that no one knows about. Does this sound familiar at all yet?

You eventually catch on that he might be some sorta Norse god as he slips Thor is is stepdad and his known his bestfriend for 800 years. lol. they talk about Thor having a stepson name Ullr and well Kristia eventually pieces it together and he tells her that he's Thor's stepson and he's the God of Winter. honestly that's kinda cool regardless.

This book is super G rated in my opinion and its I really do like it. They go on dates she learns about Asgard and how Ragnorok actually hasn't happen and what we read in myths is wrong.

Oh on a side note. Kristia has visions, she doesn't understand them but has had them forever. which eventually you find out that this visions have to do with Asgard and Ragnorok. She also cannot control them and some weird Elf man comes to her in her sleep alot. also creepy.

by the end of the book they're already badly in love and sometime in it he has asked her to marry him. oh shes also 18 but turns 19 in the next book.

I don't really want explain everything that happens in the book but she has to become immortal to be with Ull and they argue alot about how she wants to help and hes all "oh hell no" etc etc. and he's honestly super old school. I swear all they do is make out.

Maybe I've just read way too many romance novels.

She has some human friends that help with the wedding and Odin is also marring them. oh there's also another girl who Thor wanted to be with Ull which is kinda funny cause she's annoying and doesn't know when to quit. she doesn't seem to have much part in the book as of right now. so she's only mildly important as she's consistently asking him if he was ever interested in her.

Also Kristia just seem COMPLETELY okay with just everything. like just going through the motions. I mean she does learn that she was the Seer, which is a big thing since she's mortal. the fates knew a seer was born but they didn't know where she was as you learn that Elsker has kept her hidden. oh yeah she's also important but whatever. Elsker means love in Norwegian incase you wanted to know. Endre means Change and Tro means Believe.

She gives up her mortality so she can as be asset and help save Asgard which is cool. by the end of the second book they get married she has to go through some huge brain surgery to prep for it and get her friend to donate her brain? I don't know its weird but its what's supposed to happen when Odin does some magically wording with Thors Mjollnir just after she says I do in the wedding. its warm and less painful than the pre immortality prep.

By the third book they go on their honeymoon and finding do it. like finallly. though since this is i guess a YA book there's no sex scene. I guess I should have realized that. anyways... She's been having visions while she sleeps but cant seem to remember them. which is new for her.

A lot happens in the third book and honestly there's no point writing the whole plot down at this point. I was really impressed how they put Loki into this and enjoyed this book a lot.

There is a lot of twist and turns and truly it all makes sense in the end and why she ends up with him and why she gets her visions and I am mighty happy and swoon over Ull and his protection over Kristia. He has a huge problem on letting her do anything really which makes me feel he is quite Alpha but aren't most Gods a little like that? She's stubborn and doesn't listen to him mostly when it comes to helping in the fight. Her visions play a huge role once she figures out how stop Ragnorok I mean no pressure right. I could ramble a bit more but its 3 books and they aren't very long.

I did do a bit of research into Ullr from the original Mythology and he is the God of Winter, He is still Sif sons which then Thor becomes his stepdad but there isn't a lot of data about him and his myth gets lost but he only known for being really good at skating, hunting and a skier. He is said to be one of the lesser known Gods but it also states that Skaði is the God of Winter which I guess she's the Goddess of Winter, which is the girl in the book and Thor originally wanted him to be with. but she doesn't end of marrying him, it's stated that she might end up with him but also might end up with Odin and had babies with him, I hope Odin isn't like Zeus or this is going to be interesting... anyways..

I think the Norse God Mythology is very well done in this book and its clearly fiction so really its not actually stated to be true in any way!

I do recommend this book if you love mythology and want a twist of love a story the ending was very well done and I think there is a small Novella afterwards that I haven't read yet.

Its written by B.T Bende

Until the next pages turn!
